3.5. No Show

Players must check in at least 5mins before their scheduled match. Each player has 10 minutes to show up to a match (i.e. schedule match start time + 10 minutes.) Not showing up within 10 minutes results in a default loss. The player that communicated, showed up and is waiting, must report the protest and will receive the win.

3.6. Protest & Disputes

All match disputes should be submitted in Discord if possible, but should you need discretion, please submit using the following link: https://zonedoutgaming.com/tournaments/match-disputes

See our General Tournament Rules for more information related to dispute submissions (i.e. sufficient evidence, timestamps, etc.) – https://zonedoutgaming.com/tournaments/game-rules/general-tournament-rules/

3.7. Tournament Results

Both players are responsible for reporting accurate results within the Zoned Out Gaming Discord server. If you’re unable to report results please see a Staff member.

3.8. Mirror matches

If both players select the same team, at the end of the match both players are expected to report the match accurately with confirmation from both sides. Also, it may be beneficial to screenshot your results.

3.9. Disconnection

In case of disconnection, both players must share screenshots with the message of disconnection within Discord with the admin staff. In the screenshot, the opponent’s nickname must be visible and legible, as is the last score kept until the moment of the unexpected situation.

  1. If only one player shows the disconnection screenshot, that player will be the winner.
  2. If both players have the disconnection screenshot and the game is within Innings 8-9, then the highest score player will be the winner. Disconnected games within the Innings 1-3 will be restarted.
  3. In case of disconnection with a 0-0 score, both players must restart their match. If the disconnect occurs after the 5th Inning then both players must restart their match and play only three Innings.

3.10. Disqualification

  • As soon as both players are available, the match should be started as soon as possible. Intentional delay of the tournament may result in the disqualification of the player. If a player does not respond to invites within 10 minutes, the unresponsive player is subject to be forfeited from the match.

League Rules

4. League Rules

The rules below will pertain to MLB The Show 22 League ran by the Zoned Out Gaming organization.

4.1. Season & Series Lengths

Our MLB seasons will run for approximately 6 weeks at a time. Matches will be played as a single-game or 3-game series for the Regular Season, and a best of 3 series for the Post Season. The Top 8 Teams in the league will advance to the Post Season.

4.2. League Lobby

The home team will create the lobby and invite the away team. Matches will be played across varying formats. Team Stadiums ONLY!

4.3. League Rules

The following rules will govern conduct and behavior in the league:

  1. Must be able to communicate with admins and league members.
  2. In a 3 game series, you must play at least half the league players with a minimum of 15 games played to qualify for post-season consideration. The most games that are played and the best record are considered for moving on. Each win will count as 3pts and every loss will count as 1pt.
    1. Must be ACTIVE and play a minimum of 3 games and a maximum of 15 games per week.
  3. Inactivity will result in removal from the league. Inactivity for one-week results in a warning while two weeks will have you removed from the league.
    1. Note: Please communicate any delays to the league admins.
  4. You must available games when they’re available. You may NOT avoid an opponent when they request to play a game and you’re available to play. The first infraction is a warning and the second infraction incurs a forced win for the available player.
  5. Must Join Discord to participate in the league.
  6. Choose your team role in the team roles channel after the team selection process has been completed.
  7. Do not throw crap pitches the entire game. Do not swing at crap pitches the entire game.  Occasional pitches in the dirt are ok. Keep the game competitive and as realistic as possible.
  8. You must use a 5 man pitching rotation. Starting Pitchers may not be inserted from the bullpen during any game EXCEPT for the Post-Season. The SP order doesn’t matter.
  9. You may NOT change pitchers at mid-bat.
  10. Place your game reset requests in the Game-Reset channel. Games after the 8th inning are not eligible to be reset. If past the 8th inning and if you were winning at the time of disconnection, then reach out to an admin to correct the match results.
  11. Quitting without acknowledgment will result in removal from the league.
  12. Excessive pausing will constitute a warning if reported. If there is another offense the player will be removed from the league.
  13. Be Competitive & Have fun!

ONLY screenshots will be allowed in the trade approval channel. The Trade Committee will approve trades by voting on the screenshot in the channel. FOUR green check marks are needed for approval. Once approved you may proceed with the trade. Trades may take upwards of 24hrs to be completed.

Should a trade occur that was not approved by the Trade Committee, the trade will be deemed illegal and players must be sent back to their original team until approved. Should a game occur with unapproved players, then both teams involved will be punished for failure to approve the trade.

  1. First Offense – Warning! The game played must be reset and players will need to be traded back to their original team until approved.
  2. Second Offense – Each team will forfeit one game to the lowest opponent in the standings.
  3. Third+ Offense – Each team will forfeit two games to the lowest opponents in the standings and each team will be restricted from trading for 5 games.

4.6. League Team Selection Draft

You will be given a date of when the team selection will take place. Admins and The Top 8 from the previous season will automatically be locked into the next season. New members will be added based on their waitlist status and the confirmation of existing members returning to the league. Should we exceed 45 total sign-ups, then the remaining league spots will be randomly selected. The draft order will be randomized once the league has been locked.

You will be pinged during the team selection window, you will have a 1hr window to respond. Should you not respond in time, then you will be moved to the back of the draft. Should you provide the admins with your preferred teams, then we will pick the top available team for you. If you have not selected a team, provided a preferred team list, or responded within 48hrs after the draft ends, then your spot will be forfeited to the next player on the waitlist.
