Captains Guide
This guide explains how team captains use match channels to schedule matches, report results, and open disputes.
Before Match Day: Scheduling (CT)
- In the match channel, click Schedule Match.
- Pick a date and time in Central Time (CT).
- Submit the proposal and wait for the opponent to Confirm or Reject it.
- Once confirmed, the match is scheduled, and the time is treated as the agreed start time.
If a proposal is rejected, coordinate with the opponent in the match channel and submit a new proposal.
After the Match: Reporting Scores
- Click Score.
- Enter the final series score.
- Add an evidence link if your division requires it.
- Submit the result and wait for the opponent to confirm.
The opponent must confirm the score before it is finalized.
Forfeit Reporting
Use Forfeit when your team cannot play and must forfeit the match. Only the forfeiting team (or an admin) should submit the forfeit.
Disputes
Open a dispute when the teams cannot agree on a score or scheduling outcome.
- Click Dispute and describe the issue.
- A dispute thread is created in the match channel.
- Admins are notified and will step in to resolve it.
- Disputes pause processing until they are resolved.
Roster Changes (Adds, Removes, Subs)
Use roster requests during the season to add, remove, or substitute players on your team.
- In Discord, run
/roster_request. - Choose the action:
- Add player
- Remove player
- Substitute player
- Select the correct team and division.
- Enter the player information (Activision ID required).
- Submit the request.
After submission:
- A roster request message is posted with a reference ID (RC-###).
- Admins will Approve, Reject, or request more information.
- Approved requests are processed automatically.
- The message updates to show:
- Applied (success)
- Failed (error)
- Needs info (captain action required)
Timing & Expectations
- Roster changes are not instant and can take up to 15-30 minutes to be applied.
- Avoid submitting changes right before match time.
- Wait for “Applied” before assuming the roster is live on the website.
- Respond quickly if admins request clarification.
Troubleshooting (Captain)
- “Approved but not applied yet” → it is still processing.
- “Failed” → open a support ticket or contact staff and include the RC-ID.
- “Wrong team or typo” → submit a corrected roster request and reference the old RC-ID.
Best Practices
- Always use Central Time (CT) when proposing schedules.
- Keep evidence links ready before submitting scores.
- Confirm opponent submissions quickly to avoid delays.
- Use the match channel for scheduling and confirmation so everything stays in one place.
- Submit one roster change per request.
- Use consistent player naming and include Activision IDs when possible.
- Communicate roster changes early if they affect match eligibility.
